Shail Patel, M.D
Dr. Patel was born and raised in New Jersey, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience from Rutgers University. He went on to earn his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. From there, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Patel is continuing his training as a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at the Palmetto Retina Center in Columbia, SC. He will be completing this training program in June 2027.
